Pat made this photo on the Christmas Eve evening while I was waiting our guests.
We cooked together the Holiday dishes:
the unmissable wine soup (this is everyone's favourite),  breaded, deep fried fish with potato salad and  Gundel pancake, sponge cake with walnut and some home-made drinks.
After the dinner we had unwrapped the gifts with our families. One of the most loved present was from my mother - theatre tickets for Pat and me.

The wine soup's recipe:

- 2 litre white dry wine
- 1 litre water
- 15 yolk
- 1 lbs. /0,45 kg sugar
- 3 tbsp. flour
cloves, cinnamon, lemon peel

Boil the water and wine together with the spices. Mix the yolks, sugar and flour smooth. Pour to this mixture carefully from the boiled wine while you continously stir it. After pour it to the remaining boiled wine (with permanent stirring) and cook on slow fire till it thickens. You will enjoy it warm, but also it is great, when chilled.
This quantity will be enough for all belongings, the warm and spicy soup will bring new life to your senses on cold winter days.
